# KNET Brain Setting up, in three steps. The same page for people: https://brain.knet.ai/start Three steps, about five minutes. The first two are yours to do: no assistant can add a connector to your account, so this part cannot be handed off. The third is one sentence to your assistant, once the connector is in place. 1. Install the plugin https://brain.knet.ai/api/plugin.zip Download it, then add it under your assistant's plugins. One install carries the connector and the five skills together, so nothing has to be installed separately afterwards. 2. Connect it and sign in Open the plugin, find the connector inside it, and connect. There is no URL to paste: the plugin brought it with it. Signing in creates your account — there is no separate sign-up and no invitation. The first time it reads your brain, your assistant asks permission. Choose Always allow and it stops asking. 3. Ask your assistant to set it up Say: "set up my KNET Brain". It asks which mail and meeting-notes sources you have, shows you what it would capture before writing anything, and offers to keep it up to date on a schedule. ## What the person needs - A paid plan on your assistant, if the recurring capture is to run on its own. Free plans cannot schedule work. - A mail source, a meeting-notes source, or both. A document store counts when your meeting notes are saved into it as documents. - New accounts start on a trial. When its writes run out, capture pauses; reading, searching and exporting keep working. ## Before connecting it ### Who runs it KNET Brain is a KnowledgeNet.ai product. ### Security KnowledgeNet.ai maintains a SOC 2 Type II report. It is available on request, under NDA. ### What it can read Only the sources connected to it, and only through the assistant's own connectors. This service never receives a mailbox password and cannot reach anything that has not been connected to it. ### What it stores The pages it writes, and the material it was given to write them from. Each person's brain is private to their own account. ### Getting it back, or deleted Everything can be exported at any time. Ask us to delete the account, and its brain, pages and sources go with it. ### Where this stands A private beta. There is no published privacy policy or retention schedule yet, and this page will say so until there is. ## What it is A knowledge base an AI assistant keeps for a person: linked pages about the people, companies and decisions in their mail and their meetings, written from those sources on a schedule, and read back when they ask "what do we know about X". The pages are plain files and can be exported at any time. ## Without plugin support Add the connector on its own: https://brain.knet.ai/mcp The skills are then downloaded one at a time from https://brain.knet.ai/api/skills/, or fetched over the connector itself with the `get_skill_bundle` tool.
